I keep accidentally hitting post when trying to type with this phone!
What i wanted to say was this might be the communication style he was raised with. I've also noticed what's probably regional differences in this. I grew up in the north. Here telling someone what to do, in most situations is borderline rude. You ask instead. I've noticed that in other parts of the country, if you ask rather than tell, nothing happens.
