I recently saw this Ted talk on facebook about a 7 hour and 14 minute train journey they broadcasted on public TV in Norway with great results. It's called "Slow TV".

It didn't sound like much when I clicked on it but when he talked about it, I really understood why people enjoyed it so much. It's relaxing and I'm sure it's a lot like watching it rain for some people; It's just calming. And funny. I love the tunnels with the bits of Norwegian history!
