Ughhhh this never ends!

Background - my husband is temporarily retired (medically), he’s 3 years into his possibly 5 years of evaluations. He has an appointment on Jan 5 in which he needs his therapist to provide documentation/her medical opinion.

I do not like his therapist - before it was just in a personal way, but now it’s in a professional way as well.

She is trying to isolate my husband - which I thought was TERRIBLE for PTSD. She’s told
him to leave me and our daughter for a month, she’s told him to drop out of school, to cut off multiple people, etc. She also read all of the texts she and I shared in regards to Matt... this is when I was her patient.

She also texts him at 9pm sometimes asking what he’s doing... my husband claims nothing is going on, and I trust him but I don’t trust her.

Last night when I went to see my husband - she walked into the lobby right after me. She looked surprised to see me and said she just wanted to touch base with him. I told her I hadn’t seen him yet so she asked if I could go in for a little bit and then come out so she could go in for just a couple minutes. They only get 2 hours for visitors. So my mom and I went in for about 30 mins and then came out for the therapist. She assured me if would be just a few mins... 40 minutes later she came prancing out the door with a smug look. My mom, on her own, said she had a bad feeling about her... so I told my mom everything and she said he needs to stop seeing her ASAP. So it’s not just me.

Anyway - in the lobby, she told me he needed to get out because he wasn’t getting any treatment there. She told him he should just volunteer and they’d let him out tomorrow.

I just got off the phone with the social worker - his therapist recommended they keep him and not let him go. What?!

Oh geez, I feel that sinking feeling in my stomach right now. I think that maybe he can report her later on afterwards. If he wants to that is. You sure did not need all of this drama and heartache at all.

I’m glad others think it’s not right...

Luckily I called the social worker this morning and explained everything that there’s been some issues between myself and the therapist - and had his hearing today, they made zero mention of his therapist and her recommendation. Thank goodness.

He is getting released tomorrow. He will stay on his new medications and do therapy (with a new therapist) 2-3 times a week... but remain at the house... and I’m actually happy about that. I’ll be keeping a better eye on him and probably over analyze everything for a while but that’s ok.

I thank you all again for your continued support and prayers. Hopefully this is the start of something good.

At his hearing*
