The virtual walking/hiking club

This is one of my peaceful spots. It's in the middle of suburbia, but you wouldn't know that from looking at the picture. The Winter Solstice sun was low in the sky, and the dried grasses shimmered with a beautiful golden hue. Just over the ridge, I was six deer grazing. This is a place to go when I need to take a break from being a responsible adult and can check in with my Little Guys.

I took a walk with our dog along the lake in our nearby park on a cloudy day. The winter sun popped out and lit up the trees on a little peninsula in an extraordinary way. I also like the reflections of the trees in the water.

I love nature, but I struggle with agoraphobia when I go outdoors, so I'm doing some exposure-therapy walks at the moment and taking photos as a distraction... Not with the aim of achieving stunning photo results, just with the aim of distracting myself and thereby hopefully helping myself to *enjoy* the walks more, not just focussing on anxiety...

I love tree canopies more than anything else in the entire universe, so umm... I may be sharing lots of tree canopies :rolleyes:

It's a bit grey out here so didn't get much photo wise, but did like the way the lamp post shines on this tree.
