Taking an anti-psychotic like Seroquel or Zyprexa for stabilizing your mood, when you're not psychotic ,isn't any different than taking an anti-seizure med like Depakote or Topomax, for bipolar disorder, when you don't get seizures. If it can help...why not try it?
Unfortunately they didn't help me but I did try everything and anything put in front of me. I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder many years ago. Last year, when I was hospitalized to get my meds straightened around, I found out that I probably don't have Bipolar Disorder, but Traumatic Brain Injury. This is probably why I have so much trouble taking the meds for Bipolar. :confused:
