Three Weeks And Two Days Until Christmas; So Twenty Three Reasons I Am Looking Forward To Christmas.

Went to the store today and there were 2 big boxes of sweet potatoes just sitting there by the check-out aisle. I asked why they were sitting there and the clerk told me they were free and I could take as many as I wanted which I did.

At the deli they were giving out free samples of Grandma's Pumpkin Spice Coffee Cake, which was so good.

Don't mind these freebies, this time of the year.

Yesterday our whole area's internet service was down. I was just looking forward to being able to come here and share my next thought here with all of you.

Today I went to visit a friend who is in the Rehab center, recovering from a broken hip. I asked her if she would like me to buy a gift for her boyfriend for her and she could pay me back later when she is back to her usual schedule again. We decided to buy him a Summer Sausage and I will wrap it for her and buy her a card for him so she can sign it and write a sentiment in it. This is such an awful time for someone to be in a nursing home. They had Christmas music playing in there and all the doors were decorated with wreaths that the local elementary school children made for them, but still, what a drag! I have been going to visit her as often as I can, but I have no car, so bad weather days are out. It is a beautiful day today, so I was happy to go and see her and she was happy to see me too.
