Welcome MP. Sorry you have the beast but glad you've figured it out and are seeking treatment. First priority is to document everything while you're still in. You need to keep learning, this is a good place to ask questions. Try to know as much or more than your docs. Manage how your medical file is built to what you know not just what some MD writes. Seek as many referrals to other specialists as you can handle but get it on record.
Collect your existing paperwork and keep it somewhere safe. Get your hands on anything you don't have to support your combat injuries, such as medevac records, reports for a specific incident in the field if you have nothing. Get used to referring to your behavioral health issues as "combat injuries" because they are. Eventually you'll need to assess if it is healthy for you to stay in...don't let them push you out without considering a med board. Make sure your hooked up with your service wounded warrior program. Also, you might lean on group therapy more with fellow battle buddies like you more than individual therapy. Look for a good group.
If you start moving to get out than use the final time wisely to prepare, don't let them rush you. The service wounded warrior program or even WWP can get you an internships or training to help transition.
Stay safe, stay strong...
