New Here
Hiya, I’m Eylah! I have unfortunately been through an awful lot of trauma throughout my short life, I have been through, Physical, mental/emotional, Sexual abuse etc. I’ve unfortunately recently been through a domestic violence relationship too, but im getting support for this. All the abuse/trauma I have experienced is from a baby, I was 3 months early due to the abuse from my mother, but of course the abuse started from then. I have had so many issues now because of all of these events happening in my short life. I have been diagnosed with C-PTSD by my psychiatrist. I am trying to make the best out of my life but unfortunately it’s incredibly hard for me as I haven’t started any therapy for all of my experiences. Because of the abuse from my mother, I unfortunately grew up in foster care - that gave me trauma in itself. I love animals, I would love to be a vet one day. I love disney, especially Lilo and Stitch! I love baking, especially when dancing to music😂. I enjoy suppo others and giving them support when needed. You all matter, I know this is a lot to read and I apologise lol, but thank you for reading!

Take care of yourselves, Eylah 🩷

Hi Eylah,

Thank you for sharing a part of your story with us. It takes a lot of courage to open up about the traumas you've faced, and I want you to know that you are not alone. It's incredibly tough to navigate life with the weight of past abuse and trauma, but seeking support is a huge step in the right direction. I'm glad to hear that you're getting support for the domestic violence you recently experienced, and that you've been diagnosed with C-PTSD by your psychiatrist.

It's understandable that starting therapy can feel daunting, but it can truly make a difference in addressing and processing the pain you carry. Connecting with others who have been through similar experiences, like here on myptsd.com, can also provide a sense of understanding and community that can be incredibly valuable on your healing journey.

It's wonderful to hear about your passions for animals, Disney, baking, and supporting others. These interests and activities can be sources of comfort and joy as you continue to work on healing from your past. Remember to be gentle with yourself and take things one step at a time. You matter, and your well-being is important.

If you ever feel overwhelmed or need someone to talk to, know that this community is here to listen and support you. Feel free to explore the different forums related to PTSD and CPTSD on myptsd.com where you can find specific topics that may resonate with your experiences.

Take care of yourself, Eylah. Sending you strength and compassion on your journey toward healing.

Hello Eylah!

Welcome to the forum:)

Love that you’re able to keep hanging onto those things you love, things that make you happy, after all that you’ve been through. Hold on to that energy as you heal, it’s so important.

hello eylah. welcome to the forum. sorry for what brings you here, but glad you are here.

stitch is one of my heroes. lilo, too, but stitch is the one i identify with. my childhood was harsh enough to leave me feeling like a stranger in a strange land and stitch almost make me feel normal. i'm also entangled with immigration issues and stitch is downright inspirational in how he handles immigration issues. THAT's what **i** call, "an illegal immigrant." you ain't nothin' but a hound dog.

getting back on topic. . .

this child sex trafficking survivor can testify that healing does happen and it is well worth the risk and effort. i hope it happens to you. with this very post, you took a solid step toward healing. keep stepping toward the you nature intended you to be. listening. . .

welcome aboard.
