News Uk Serving Soldier Killed In Woolwich

This is the latest of what happened earlier today.

A serving soldier was killed while he walked in Woolwich. He was attacked by 2 men wielding knives and possibly guns.

From what reports say he was wearing a Help for Hero's t shirt.

Horribly tragic! Such a waste of such a brave man. I'm glad they stopped those men. Our news is very spotty on details, but it sounds just terrible.

It is so horrific. He was killed near the barrack entrance.

Also disgusting was people filmed the attack and then spoke whilst still filming to one of the attackers. The attacker was holding at least one bloodied knife and his hands were covered in blood as well. Some people continued walking past as if nothing was happening.

At least Cameron had no difficulty calling it what it was, an act of terrorism. The bystander reports were, yes, shocking. It is ironic that British born "Nigerians" would decapitate and mutilate the victims body, then hang around for 20 minutes making a public statement. And that bystanders (some) went about their business seemingly ignoring the attack. One of the attackers did have a pistol, but it wasn't used.

The woman who intervened and dialogues with one of the perpetrators is pretty amazing. I heard the audio of her interview this morning.

The assailants ran him over with a vehicle, then beat him to death with meat cleavers. One of the assailants was confronted by 3 women, while at least one of the women tried to comfort the dying soldier. Both assailants were well known to MI5.

They didn't even try to flee the scene. They have been filmed and photographed dripping with blood, holding meat cleavers. Shocking.

According to the press one assailant was filmed by a passer-by, saying he carried out the attack because British soldiers killed Muslims every day. One of those 3 women that confronted one of the assailants told the press "I asked him if he did it and he said yes and I said, 'Why?' And he said, 'Because he has killed Muslim people in Muslim countries, he said he was a British soldier' and I said, 'Really' and he said. 'I killed him because he killed Muslims and I am fed up with people killing Muslims in Afghanistan'.

It's completely shocking, and will no doubt lead to further backlashes. My sympathies are with his family.
