Yeah I think sometimes we all just have to roll with it and hope our therapists are cool with pretending the week before never existed lol. The worst is getting called out for that though!
This is generally how that goes for me:
T: so last week seemed really difficult
Me: I don’t know what you’re talking about
T: *chuckles* I think you do
Me: mmmmmk whatever. Sure
T: so let’s talk about it!
Me: ok
T: ok?
Me: I mean that’s your favorite way to handle things....
Me:............................
T: ..........................
Me: you’re the one who wanted to talk about whatever it was so I think it’s only fair that you go first...
T: *long sigh* well. Ok. Here’s what happened and then I want to hear how you felt about it before I tell you how I feel about it.
Me: I AM HAVING ALL THE FEELS AND I’M GOING TO VOMIT NOW!!!!!
Clearly I’ve really got my life together lol
