I haven't walked today other than to do the shopping.

A 7 mile walk is planned for tomorrow but I'm very anxious about it. it's not the distance, it's the hills! I've got a bad back, wonky knees, Osteopenia, , asthma, anemia and a truck load of other stuff which makes hills difficult.

I'll give it a go but it is a bit of an  moment.

Amazingggggggggg photos KP, Cath, and Amethist!! :)

Thank you for the encouragement, Cath! I forgot about taking my camera/phone this morning but tomorrow would be perfect.

I got out there again this morning and clocked how far I'm up to walking which is about 3miles now, no wonder Big Girl puked the other morning,. In 80 degree heat and 79 percent humidity it's difficult to get back into the swing of things.

I don't think I could walk in that heat Rain. You are doing so well!

7 mile walk achieved! Yay me!

It was a very hot day and the walk went well. We claimed 2 small hills on a circular route.

My Son asked if we could go to the summit again on the way back so we did. Police were everywhere looking for a missing woman who was suicidal, and the police helicopter was hovering over our heads at the summit. I never got her out of my mind and kept thinking about how she must be feeling.

I found the climbing up to the summit a real struggle and really had to push myself - but I did it, if not a bit slowly. Then we walked back down and had a drink in the pub!:)

Here are just a couple of photos to enjoy!

Thursday we went to the Lake District to walk up a mountain called High Street. It was a very steep climb (2718 feet, about 828 m) and the weather turned against us. We were not far from the summit but the wind was gusting at about 60MPH and the rain was lashing us so hard it felt like shards of glass.

We decided it was safer to come back down which was horrendous. It was more of a rock climb and I ended up nearly getting blown of the ridge and then slipped on wet rock and landed on my side. I thought I'd broke my arm but got away with nasty bruising on my arm, hip and knee.

I think going so high is not an option for me anymore - it killed my knees so I will stick to lower levels and leave the big stuff to the men in my life.

A few photos for you showing how beautiful it was but also how bad the weather was.

Thanks KP.

It was beautiful but so dangerous too. Next time we go I'll let the men go up and I will take a stroll through the valley. There is a hotel not far up the valley that serves teas so it will be much nicer than falling onto rocks!
