General What are they thinking?

I have NO idea what my life would be like if I didn't find this forum and everyone here (and some who aren't here any more, too). Obviously I wasn't in a good place to have to reach out to an anonymous ptsd forum. I've been here every day since and the things I've learned here, you can't learn from a book! Sending you hugs. I, too, have found this place, and all of you (sufferers and supporters alike!) infinitely helpful. I'm not around much anymore, since I'm in my own healing journey, but, well, I do have some updates I'll post later. Kinda doozies, and I've been trying to process them before I can even articulate. Oy. lol

Sometimes I wonder if we (women) are thinking to much about what men might be thinking. Maybe it is true what they say that men sometimes are very simple creatures that do not think much at all. I just wrote about an example not having to do with ptsd but decided not to post it because of anonymity. Do you think us women sometimesthink to much about what men are thinking because they do not think at all.

Yes, I’ve been told this by others, ie websites that try to decipher male/female differences, even from my own therapists!

I think we as women try to find hidden meaning in everything while guys are pretty straightforward.

Oh God yes. Hubby laughs at me all the time about this -- I think he is way more complicated than he is. And I've heard that complaint from other guys I know -- that women are always trying to figure out "what they mean" when what they meant was what they said. One male friend told me it was because women are like onions and men are like carrots. One has lots of layers, the other is just a stick. :laugh:
