What Are You Grateful For Today?

Grateful for happening upon a half price sale and scoring four pairs of pants (jean, corduroy, dress pant, lounge), a hoodie sweater and a cable knit sweater, a pair of thermal bottoms, and a beautiful green clay pot for a baby spider plant at a consignment shop today...all for $16.50. I had been putting off going and dreading the thought, but got the notion/gut feeling that today would be a great day to check out the scene. Cha-ching.

The best part of that visit, though, was being part of a group conversation with a few other women, one who shared the story of her husband who became gravely ill and rather quickly passed and the struggles she faced in being his sole caregiver, and we all shared tears and hugs. Entered as total strangers, left with deep heartfelt connections and a little bit of comfort, if only for those few moments. I love it when that happens.

I am soooo grateful things are finally falling into place for J. I'm also grateful he's handling everything better than I (and he) expected. His nightmares are bad (as per) but he's still getting more sleep then usual. When all's said and done. He'll be taken care of. XO!! .....@MrMoonlight, is that the RHCP the food or the band? I like both.

I'm feeling grateful and blessed because of the new best guy in my life...he drools and wears diapers, doesn't yet talk and will walk to the Arctic and back if you let him hold a hand. There are moments that he turns his eyes on me as if I am an amazing thing. He laughs when you blow raspberries on his feet. Kids...who knew?

I am starting a thing in my life. When I shower I have to say five things I'm grateful for.

Today I'm thankful for:
-the time to work on myself.
-hot water on tap, seemingly endless beautiful comforting hot water with no effort.
-the animals that I connected with and comforted me during my life.
-music and the artists who write and perform it.
-I'm always thankful for myPTSD, the place not the condition. ✌

@MrMoonlight, is that the RHCP the food or the band? I like both.

I was thinking about the band but I like both too. I can consume way more of the band though. Honestly, there is no limit to how long I could listen to their library.

I am grateful that I have a wider range of choices to make in my daily life.

I am grateful for insight. I am grateful for understanding. I am grateful for progress aiming emotions towards where they come from.

Today a lady came in to the clinic to pick up a prescription. She brought her dog with her. The medications must be working for him! This dog has always looked so sickly. In fact, I found out that someone called animal control on her because they she was neglecting her dog. We had to explain that the dog had some chronic health conditions and the lady was working very hard to get her dog healthy. Today his coat was shiny and full. He was alert and looked happy. He was still a bit too thin but he was finally gaining weight. It was so wonderful to see.

Somehow am able to be happy there are some people still in life. And that I am more able to engage with them at times.
