I am very grateful to my guardian angel that I did not burn down my house.

I wanted to boil eggs for avocado salad, but I was so distracted by reading on the internet that I forgot. Then I heard a loud bang.
I ran downstairs, the eggs had burst, the pot was black with soot, but luckily nothing had burned.

So you live in the wilderness, or you're a multimillionaire, or both? Either way, congrats!

Am gratefully off to a rented house in the countryside tomorrow to work remote for 2 weeks. Grateful that my professional life miraculously improved about 5 years ago so I can afford it after knowing genuine hardship. Funny to think the first year of my life was with my broke parents living in a friend's garden shed and things only very gradually improved with time - not even joking, and very grateful.
