When I am at my lowest point I have a hard time doing anything but playing music or listening to old time Radio programs. Other than that not much I have a had time getting my feet on the floor

Yeah, I know what that feels like, our brains are in an arrested state during those times, totally locked up. My brain did that when I learned about additional criminals that attempted to abuse me. Then there is nothing I can do other than totally concentrating on getting better and to withstand their ridiculous lies they use in an attempt to control me.

This is a great thread! I literally try ANYTHING that will make me feel better - coming onto the forums helps a ton, texting my gal pals for prayer and support, playing with my dog, watching bad TV shows like 90210 or reality shows, eating (I'm hypoglycemic and my symptoms get crazy if I don't eat every 2 hours), adult coloring (something I just started grudgingly lol), crying/yelling at God/praying, taking a nap.

Although it is sometimes difficult to do these things I like to listen to my favorite music, play with my fur-baby, color a picture, draw, take a walk, call a friend, take a hot bath then wrap up in some soft blankets and just chill out.

I also have a mantra that I use when I am feeling overwhelmed, it is something I learned when I was taught a bit of self-hypnosis, it goes like this, "Nothing to think about, nothing to feel".....

.......I repeat this over and over and imagine myself floating in water with my eyes closed and within minutes I feel peaceful and at rest. Might be worth giving it a try.

Wishing you the best,
Lionheart

When I'm at my absolute lowest I often can't remember any of the good ideas of what to do.
So am working on getting things that help me to be part of my daily routine. The idea being by doing these things repetively I might more readily remember them when I need em or at least remember them sooner

I actually wrote myself a list of what to do when i feel really low so that I can just pick up the list and begin doing those things whether i feel like it or not. They include taking a nice bath, going on a walk, browsing walmart, reading a good novel, watching an uplifting show, etc. You can do whatever helps focus your mind somewhere else.
