hi! My father molested my as a young child. If you want to read my story go to my profile. I had a dream a few days ago and in my dream I was sleeping as a little girl and someone came into my room and I felt something penetrate me in my vagina. I don't understand what does that dream mean. Was I raped too as a child???

A dream can just be a dream - i think its viewed as a dream cant be taken literally - which is why they are so usually strange and surreal. The same dream with 2 different people can mean totally different things. So i would so no it doesnt "mean" it - it could mean many things, or it can mean nothing at all, theres no real way to know unless it becomes a persistent dream, in which case a professional can probably help you analyse it

In itself it cant mean that - because if someone is asleep - they cannot be aware what is happening. If on the other hand you have learned that that is what happened for definate, then you could be processing that knowledge - so its not the actual event you are dreaming about - because its impossible to remember something that happens while you sleep - but your learned memories of it

The dream could mean any number of things. It maybe that you had a fear of that happening, it could have been been your mind confusing events, I get multiple traumas confused in to one all of the time. I also have dreams that relate to my trauma but the events are different. My child died in a hospital but I have dreams that my child is trapped in a dryer and the door is locked and I can't get the door open and it turns on and my child dies that way. Dryers have nothing to do with my trauma but I had a pet the liked to climb in it if it was open and always feared that, so trauma, meshed with a fear that never happened is my interpretation of them dream. Hope that makes sense.
