Rainbows are so beautiful, and when I see one I know it's a gift from God and a miracle! The reason they exist is because God loves all of us. :inlove: This is the same for all beauty that exists on Earth, it's a Gift!

Soooo true Kim!! There were two side by side that evening.

God made that rainbow as a sign of His love, to never destroy the earth, which He created, like that again. Even God made a sign for Himself - doing something positive. I hope we all learn to do the same in our own lives, create our own "signs" of renewal. :)

My cat socks. We were together about 8 years, then something happened, I got triggered and ended up off the deep end again. When the paramedics came they didn't realize there was a cat in the house and she ran out since she'd never been around such a fuss before. She was an indoor cat so it was a shock to her. When I got back from the hospital she was there on the porch all beat up and looking about half dead. It broke my heart.

I had another attack, only this time it was worse. I'd been laying on the floor for a couple of days and couldn't get up. When I fell I'd broken the bed, so couldn't use it to pull myself off the floor. Socks captured a bird and put it next to my head so I'd have something to eat. I realized then that I needed to find a home for her so she could be taken care of. My friend took her for me, but didn't tell me that socks refused to eat until she had starved herself to death. I miss that silly cat so much. We lost each other that day. Sigh.

But on the good note, we had some funny happy memories together over the years. When I'm happy I tend to sing while I do housework. Socks would follow me from room to room "singing" along with me. Sometimes, she would jump into the shower while I was in there. LOL. In and out in a flash. She just wanted to get my attention.

Now I have a pet rock, who's name is Pebbles.

I'm sorry about Socks safenow. (((((safenow))))) It's obvious that you loved her very much and she loved you very much too! The story about giving you the bird really touched my heart. The happy memories are very sweet!!! :)
P.S. I always loved the idea of a pet rock!!!! If you Google 'pet rock' and look at the different images, they are sooo cute! What does yours look like? Did you find it or buy it? Details please! :D

My dear friend sends me flowers from time to time. The very first time he sent me flowers, I saved a rock from the vase. I wiped it, and use it as a rubbing stone when I'm stressed. I can just look at his picture, or my little rubbing pet rock and calm down most times. His voice can do that as well. I have him on my phone list as the first person to call if you think I need help. I gave that list to everyone who has anything to do with me: paramedics, doctor's nurses, aides, friends, church people, etc. Those who do, know it works. Those who don't struggle with me. LOL.

safenow.

Britt, we called the hospital and they told us we had plenty of time

That happened with Jake. It was so quick, my doctor didn't make it there. I had an intern and resident. By the time my doctor arrived they were cleaning Jake up. She apologized for not being there. She said if we decided to have a third I was going to spend my last month in the waiting room of the hospital! :hilarious:

That is a precious memory you have of your daughter and her birth. What a wonderful story she has to tell.

My husband took me to Cambria. It is a town by the ocean that has all sorts of shops and gallerys. I found a painting I liked. Unknown to me, my husband bought the painting and hid it in the car for a surprise for me. I unwrapped it at home. That was a memorable trip. He was always doing things like that. He still surprises me. I love him so much.
