After my little guy's expensive bike and helmet were stolen from him and he, his sister and sitter all checked around the area only to have it not to be seen anywhere in sight. Hours later, and after dinner, I was on my way out for the evening when I decided to return to the scene of that crime.

I shot over there with about a 1.5% hope that I might find it, but with a 98.5% reason to help me accept it was gone. You see, I had begun to obsessively think about different factors and frustrations that had preceded this loss and a feeling of betrayal that just wouldn't lift.

My hope, was to bring closure to yesterday's reality that he owned a bike and helmet and did greatly enjoy riding it. I too was hoping that the churning feeling in my belly would dissipate some and my obsessive thinking-style leave.

Instead, my freind and I pull into the parking lot, check out the bicycle rack, circle around only once, for the hell of it, and there way off in the dark I see a twinkling of what I imagined was likely a tin can. But could it be part of a bike. No way, I thought. Had considered it gone forever, but decide I'll make this one attempt to check out that barely flickering glare. Only to find it was a soda pop can right.

No way, it was his bike and his helmet and when I walked through the door with his helmet shortly later, while standing on the carpeted stairs, he threw open his arms, smiled and said, as if in sheer surprise and some shock: "There is hope."

What a beautiful moment followed by lots of his ear to ear smiles, hugs and kisses.

Can't way to see him again tommorrow.

Hope

GoinonHope, that was a great thing to read today, thanks. I wish I had kids of my own sometimes. I started my Holosync program today. I've got my fingers crossed...

I got out and went and looked at puppies at a pet store. I felt the sadness but didn't allow my thoughts to go to 'you are different.'

Tomorrow, I think I'm going to buy a guitar and songbook........willie nelson I think.

More Along The Lines of Something We & I Did and Enjoyed Today...................

I cleaned the house. Did laundry. Called my Godmother over for coffee and invited her out shopping with us. She can't drive and likes to get out and away from the area. We met my husband at the mall and we went Christmas shopping and ate supper out. I allowed my children alot of time to play within the mall, in addition to our shopping. Enjoyed as each went on those elastic band rides up, while bouncing further and further up to the ceiling. I hugged and cradled my son in my arms, because he wanted his Mommy. And, oh' what a joy this was for us, especially since he's such an active boy. Played tickling games when invited to and all around enjoyed the majority of this day. Laundry's not to much fun, but I do it anyways. Cleaning house, though I most often really enjoy.

Oh' yah, that's right. Tlight, we were visiting the puppies too at the store. I saw this 3 mo. old golden retriever that I simply would love to surprise my son and daughter with, but the cost was unrealistic, and so I already knew what my husb. would say, Nope. Not now. Shucks! :rolleyes: That puppy was so adorable, and our children just loved it.

I have to go get some more fishies...because one of my fishes decided to somehow jump out of the tank...smart fishy LOL 0_O;

Kunoichi,

Did you hear about the shark that jumped out of it's tank into a chlorinated pool? It happened either the 17th or 18th. Maybe your fish was doing sympathy leaps? Poor creatures.

I took part of the afternoon off from work to go to a doctor's appointment. I didn't rush and push myself to go back to just work for a half hour or 45 minutes (I would have in the past) and then fight traffic again on the way home. Yeah, after the doctor's office I got about an extra hour to just relax. And I don't feel a damned bit guilty about it. They'll survive without me for a couple of hours! Even if they have to find a file that's already on their desk without me showing it to them. LOL
