I'm glad I have my own defibrillator and I no longer need to have a holter monitor to access what is going on. Seeing yours just reminds me of how cumbersome they can be.

I know when my mom had her bypasses she had a lot of arrhythmia's and they told me that was normal after surgery on your heart. Not that they can't be dangerous or nerve wracking. I definitely do not like mine even when they are mild.

Hang in there. Hope the news is all good. Sounds like you deserve it very much.

They are definitely not comfortable. About a month after they put my ICD in they paced my heart. It scared the world out of me. Apparently, not everyone can feel that, but I can. Guess I'm just lucky. ;)

Hope it's less then 8 weeks for you.
