Dear Nic,

When I is feeling all crappy, I'm usually a bit like....

Which, for obvious reasons, usually ends poorly.....
But that being said, I usually feel bad, and end up being something like.....

Anyway darling, we are all wishing you a hot lovely shower and a snuggle in bed, so go and enjoy it for the rest of us.

If not, go and find Anthony, and hug him till you feel better....

Hi Nicolette,

My H has the same type of valve malfunction and an arrhythmia but one that is less problematic than yours. Mummers main problem is that it does put a little more stain on the heart and that strain can be what causes the arrhythmia in the first place at times. If the valve problem is bad then they can repair it or replace it (I know two people who have done this recently and very successfully) and if not they leave it and just check up on the heart and valve condition periodically. That is what has happened with my H for a very long time and his heart is fine.

Good luck!

It absolutely is worthwhile Nicolette. It was only the fourth cardiologist that eventually picked up on the mitral valve problem for my H and yes, it absolutely can cause and relate to arrhythmias. And most floppy valves are apparently fine unless they cause too many symptoms for the heart.

Either way the important thing is for them to find out what the real problem is and give you the correct treatment.
