What small thing/s did you do today to chip away at your avoidance?

I didn't waver when a friend got upset with me for having a difference of opinion.

Usually I get too dysregulated to stand up for myself, but not today.
 
I am looking for any hints, any strategies that you are using to chip away at your avoidance.

Yesterday I went and fronted up for the hardest thing for me to do in my life. That was hard. I have been slowly building up to doing this.

I find that doing Self Compassion Breaks assists with me in not avoiding.

I know there is a lot of knowledge out there in this forum, and I learn from people here everyday. So I thought I would start this thread so as people write what they did to break down their avoidance (big or small) all the rest of us can benefit from their strategies and tricks of the trade.

So what have you done today to chip away at your Avoidance?

Gives me some hope. Making me think of how I could do it. It's really cool.

Just thinking about not avoiding it is causing me some issues! lolol OH crap! Gah, I hate feeling this way!
 
I did some breathing. I had a shower to get ready for potential work. I noticed that I was in the past so I brought myself back to the future. I am making some small headway in being present in this now. This is big for me.
 
Ah, just thinking about doing it, causes me some discomfort. Will this ever go away? I hate feeling like this. It's so stupid. lol >,<" My brain has turned against me. It seems real - and it's not. WTH!

I was fortunate to catch the last episode of "the prisoner" on pluto tv. A character says, after being threatened, "....then I'll die with my own mind. You'll hypnotize me no longer." ?❤??
 
I seem to be like a hamster on a wheel filling up my time with working and studying so that my mind is constantly busy. Today I acknowledged that I am not feeling well and I called in sick which is something I rarely do. I usually push through it and feel guilty if I take time off but today I feel good about it. I decided not to avoid self-care today. Chose to take care of me and take it easy. Have realised that when I stop for a few moments, it's not so bad. Someone recently said to me, that it seems that I have realised that I don't have to peddle quite so hard.
