fresh water (such a difficult decision. The seclusion and quiet you can find around lakes are compelling to me and you aren't restricted to the coastline. I have good (drunken) memories of Dana Point when I was a kid on my grandparent's boat. Sports fishing, trolling, swimming with the stingrays, Catalina Island)
