What's Good About Today?

I had to call my gardner and rehire him. I arranged with him to come to my daughters house and haul to the dump all of the broken furniture we want out of the garage. I am so proud that I did this. It will be next week. More things getting done.

My agent is going to dust and vacuum my house for me and she told me that she is going to show my place on Friday. This has really lifted my spirits so much.

That I said yes to going to a gathering one of my sister's is throwing. I get to see my family. I may be nervous, but I know it will end up being good for me.

• Introduced my Parkinson's elder friend to my mother, who loaned him a mystery book (his genre) on CD.
• My mother parted with one of her "Rita's" (a local artist who has passed away - I have her only Jesus painting in my living room), a Madonna and Child (she has 7) and gave it to me as a gift for my living room.
• My Parkinson's friend, remarked how very much I looked like my mother and I didn't freak out.
• A friend gave me a gauzy beaded blouse and 6 pair of pants that were two sizes two large (but used to be my size), I kept the blouse and donated the pants. (Yay they are too big!)
• Holiday pay (double time)

It will be a calm and peaceful day today. Dissappointed that there will be no fireworks tonight due to the bad winds. We can watch them from the front yard.

I have plans to unpack my books which are such great resources to me. My gardner is coming over today to see how many trips to the dump he will have to do with all of the junk furniture in the garage and the fact that the garage will have a ton of new space.

I did it. I unpacked the two huge boxes of books and put them in order on the shelves. So good to have my old friends back for me to read and reflect and study. A huge sense of accomplishment for me.

It is a fresh start to a new day and trying to be positive about everything.

I was able to get up early to go for my walk around the lake. It is supposed to be another hot day, but know that I need to keep this up on a daily basis.
