Wrong thinking. He deserves exactly what was... no change. Just because he took something well, does not mean you owe anything of yourself. It's a conversation, not a sale of yourself.

I've made the mistake of telling a prospective partner too soon and they either get scared off or have used it against me if they don't have good intentions. In recent dating experiences, I've waited to test whether I trust the person or not with the information. In most cases, I've come to find out they've had a history of trauma too.
