I'll make tea

I noticed I have not introduced myself yet.

I am the wife of a Vet... but that of course is not whole the story... because he is more than just a Vet. He is the father of my kid and the love of my life... and I do not want to see him as some kind of "project".

We have all of our lives in front of us.

No, he is not a project. He is a human being and his experiences have hurt him terribly. He needs support to get through it, like we all do when we are hurt.

Welcome to the forum. I hope you find the support you need to survive the changes in your relationship, and to understand PTSD and how it's affecting your husband.

Best wishes,
Muz

:) Thank you!

My husband is not "crazy" not even close and he is not terribly hurt. Just a little bit. There have been no changes in our relationship. He was already back when we started dating. Is this still the right board for me?

My husband works full time and he is "in control" of his life. So if that should not be the rioght board for me please let me know.

Hi I'll make tea,

As a person that has PTSD, I am not "crazy" nor am I incapable of working or handling the tasks that life requires. Having PTSD is not who you are, it is just something that you have. This forum is a place for information and support for getting better, and for the times that a person may struggle.

As a supporter, this site should provide you with information to help you manage any stress you may feel and to help you to better understand what is happening to your husband. It is also a place where you can find support for yourself as you work with your spouse to help him overcome any of the PTSD symptoms that may have a negative impact on his quality of life, or your quality of life.

Take what you need and leave what you think will help.
