There are exceptional lie detectors out there, that judge pupillary response and breath/pheromone composition, and micro expressions; but the police don’t have access to them. In most states/countries, lie detectors are not admissible in court, exactly because of the resoundly proven inaccuracy involved in standard biometrics (as opposed to pupillary response). As Standard lie detectors are EASILY fooled (with drugs, pain, or practice), and have such colossal fail rates. Although interrogations often use them, and other lies allowed, to trick people into confession. More advanced lie detectors are still fallible, but very very few people have the training or disorders necessary to to trick them, especially under certain kinds of stress/duress.thats so awful, im sorry. if i remember correctly the accuracy rates of lie detectors is around 60-70%. definitely shouldn't be used anymore at all. what nonsense
i hope you get the justice and healing you deserve, even if not through this route. stay safe out there.
I agree very strongly, it’s frankly BIZARRE that “passing” a lie detector should clear anyone of anything. Passing most lie detectors? Is as easy as taking a benzo, or having a thumbtack in your shoe. Then there’s “simply” believing what you’re saying is true. Use a lie doctor on most conspiracy theorists? And their pet conspiracy is “true”. Not because it’s actually true, but because they believe it is. The same way that pathological liars & misc sociopaths pass lie detector tests. As the lie? Is “real”. To them.
