Your Pet Did What!?!

I remember taking my husky with me on the hiking trail. And I wanted to hand feed the wild birds. Well I knew the birds wouldn't come near if she was beside me. So I tied her leash around the railing. Then walked about 10 feet from her. Well she didn't like not being by my side so she starts to howl and wouldn't stop. One man walked past and said she sure howls good. I replied well she's a husky, what more can I say.

I remember taking my husky to the beach and she would roll on the dead fish. OMG did she stink afterwards.

Nooooooh! What was your husky's name? Sandra, that's priceless. They *love* that whole aromatic thing.

On the farm, my dog & I used to go for long runs to the neighbour's farm. We'd get worn out & rest at her place. I'd drink juice but my dog would sneak out & find a fresh aromatic plomp of fresh cow pooh to roll in. He would acquire ample coverage from head to toe...mmmmmm, steeenkee.

Then he would come across all worn out and exhausted...so much so I would have to pick him up & carry that stinky rascal back to our own farm, 3 miles along dirt tracks. In summer. Oh my. It was a bit much.

Naughty kitten

I may have the cutest kitten in the whole world but I'm pretty sure she's the naughtiest.

She knows how to use her kitty litter but she has also been going to the toilet on the floor .... every day. I think she's punishing me for leaving her alone during the day because she either does it right before I leave for work or as soon as I get home.

Does anyone know how to teach a kitten she's only meant to go to the toilet in her kitty litter?

Could be stress pi, you would be amazed at what cats do when under stress, and yes it does happen.

Had to take my cat to the vets last year after new neighbours moved in. She always went outside, no litter tray, but had a thing about peeing down the bath drain if the weather was really icy. We noticed a few spots of blood one morning, and I knew immediately what it was. She had cystitis from the stress of new neighbour's big noisy heap of junk 4 x 4.

Now we have an indoor litter tray for her, so she has a choice. She is 15 though.

We had to put masking tape on the sliding glass doors because our German Shephard TJ kept beaning himself senseless when he'd see a cat out on the deck- true story. We love him, he's just not very bright. He's named after the Patron Saint of Hopeless Causes, Jude Thaddeus, backwards.

We used a spray bottle of water for training the cats also! It works on children too, you know.

In the apartment I had before I had a bathtub and one day when I had forgotten to close the door and had a bath I suddenly heard a splash and there was one of my cats.. enjoying the bubbles and the water. She actually loved it...but I tell you.. don't bath with a cat at springtime if you don't want to look like a feline your self after it. After that she got really annoyed when I closed the door when I took a bath...she started to sleep in the bathtub just waiting for me to take a bath. She loves water. Now we only have a shower in this apartment but I still have to close the door or else I or my bf will find that she is enjoying the shower to.

I have three own cats and one cat that I am a fosterhome to till he will find a own home. He belongs to a animal shelter for cats. He is eating everything... last Xmas I found him stuffing himself with clementines that he had found at the table. He was in heaven...

I have found that my cat's do like things cats normally hate. They are strange, and all have had a awful life before they come here... so I guess they are kind of messed up. But they are my only true family and they bring so much joy :)

My little brothers cat could open locket doors, not the old sort of key doors but the newer ones. It first tested if all that needed was to push the handle down to open the door, if that did not worked he jumped and punched the key as hard as it could till the first step worked. So in the end they had to lock the doors and put the key away. Smart little fellow...
