Your Pet Did What!?!

With my part brittany spaniel which I already said he was too smart for his own good. If I held a knife the regular way he was ok. But if I held it like a weapon he would freak right out.

I spent a couple of nights in the hospital the first of this week (virus - ugh!) and a friend took care of my 5 month old German Shepherd puppy. Since we both got home, he can't stand being far from me. The first night back, he couldn't sleep close enough to me. Yes, he sleeps with me. Spoiled, not so little dog. I have been having nightmares all week but Wednesday night was the worst. My pup decided he needed to wake me up. All I could think was, "I have my own service dog in training!" Love that puppy!

When I came home at lunch time, Crystal had opened my husbands desk drawer and was trying to eat thumb tacks... or rather take them out of the drawer ... there were about 13 (that I found so far) on the floor of the office. Then when I came home I took away a twist tie. I tried to log on and my internet was down... we called the by phone techician... and were embarrassed that she had chewed the wireless cord in half. That cat likes dangerous things.

My mini schnauzer liked to chew wires. Luckily they weren't plugged in. Then she found a package of X-acto knife blades to chew up. I can't believe she never cut herself. And she only did this when I was sleeping. So now for her own protection she goes in the crate at night.

I remember waking up at a horrible hour one morning, and flicking on the light to get a glass of wate. I glanced over at my hamster's cage and couldn't see her anywhere, so jumped out of bed to check she hadn't escaped again. Silly person that I am, I'd left a bag of sunflower seeds on top of the cage, in the corner where there was nothing underneath she could have climbed on to reach them. Yeah, she was a clever little thing, my Hobbes. At 3am, she was gripping the bars at the top of the cage, had chewed through the bag and was sucking sunflower seeds into her cheeks as fast as she could. I picked her up, (little bit difficult as she really didn't want to let go of the bars) and her cheeks were 3 times as wide as her head, and the odd sunflower seed kept popping out! I didn't leave any food on top of the cage after that!

I just got back from getting a few groceries and put them on the floor for now till I have a little rest before putting them away. The raisin bread I got comes in an open end paper bag. Well that was just too tempting to a mini schnauzer. I said to her what the hell do you think you are doing? She ran with her tail between her legs.
