Your Pet Did What!?!

My son's cat loves my printer. I'm not sure if he thinks it's his giant toy or if there are monsters in it. Today I made two cards(from another room) without closing the door to the room the printer was in. He destroyed them the minute they came out and I found them on the floor. He was still sitting watch by the printer. Had to take him and the other cat out and close the door so that I can print the cards.

Had to take the other cat out because if he gets locked in my room he poo's on my bed!

Oh, Britt, that is so funny! I can just picture it! Today, my cat Peeper refused the dry food I bought 2 days ago. He is part siamese so he complained about it nonstop for about an hour today. I finally opened a can of tuna for him and left the can on the counter since Nugget will pick in the recyclling for tuna cans. I heard a rattling, went out to look, and there was Bella walking next to the counter, licking the can. She knows better than to counter surf. She ran and hid when she saw me, she was so embarassed.

Monster, sounds like Tess today. Buddy left her rawhide behind when she followed me upstairs. When I came downstairs, Tess was hanging her head in a corner in the kitchen. Sure enough, when we went in the living room the rawhide was gone! Gave Buddy a new one and she is sleeping with it right now!:hilarious:

One of the kittens I rescued (who is now about 4-5) found the ribbon with fluffy pompom's at the end which was used to tie up the neck of the hot water bottle cover.

For the last 5 years he has been meowing and you can always tell that he is carrying it because of the way he meows and asks to be patted.
It's a bit like praising him for his first successful hunt, and he has done it ever since, because when I first found him, he was small enough to fit in my hand, so I guess I'm like a mum to him.

Our latest rescue, Nano, is pure white and very fluffy, he has picked up habits from all of the other cats, likes eating bread & muffins, hates his tummy being touched, must snuggle right against your side, panics if you let him outside by himself and then close the door, and will beat down the door if you don't open it in a timely fashion.

He has also taken to playing with toilet rolls, and will shred the absolute crap out of them, whether they are on the floor or on the holder, he shows no mercy!

I LOVE this thread of posts, always some great laughs in it! Babygirl whined today because I had the cloths hamper on the bed with some socks hanging on it to dry that had not fully dried in the dryer. Well! She usually goes and nests in the bed, digging and burrowing down into my blankets, but she was either affraid or felt she could not fit with the basket there (she sometimes as if she is the size of a doberman, when in fact she is a ministure dachshund!). Anyway, once I moved the basket when the socks were dry, she was right onto the bed and has wrapped herself up to some degree in my blankets as usual. Just like us, our pets are such creatures of habit! And I suppose, we complain too, when our habits get interrupted!!!

I have one of those sets of shelves over my toilet, which I keep the toilet paper on, it's just a thought, but I don't know if your pet might still be able to get up on the shelf. Mine's a dachshund, so she can't!

She's nutty! Bit like her owner.....

They say our pets just have to pick up our traits and mimmick them and I think I see Babygirl doing this at times too, though I forget what about now... well, I sure can think of ONE thing! We both LOVE to eat and have weight problems. Mine is worse than hers though, because whereas I CAN control her weight to some degree by rationing, etc., I tend not to have the willpower to do that with myself!

My indoor cat, Sparkles, has gotten outside a few times when my boys were younger and not careful about keeping him in. I don't know why he would sneak out, because he was, usually back rather quick. One time, however, he was gone about three days. By the time he found his way home he was as skinny as a rail(obviously no hunting skills) and ran straight for his litter box. It was almost like he had been holding it the whole time!

Our other cat, that we had at the same time, had no problem being out and about. In fact, one time when I was putting out the clothes, she came home. She squatted right there, out in front of everyone, just like she was one of the dogs. It was the oddest thing to see.

I had 3 cats in bed last night, they are very naughty, I have no idea how they 'escaped' they know the rules 'no cats in my bedroom, my child only started sleeping through 2 years ago, I need sleep, not cats crawling all over me'. Anyway, I guess I left a door open, I had 3 sleeping pills last night, I think they knocked me out a bit, usually I would chase the cats but not last night I just kept throwing them off my head, off my feet and snarled every time they jumped on any moving limb, I was surprised the dog wasn't there too... then when I finally brought my head from under the pillow the dog started staring at me.

So on with clothes in -0 weather and off to the park, that dog needs to slow down, if she is slipping that means I am slipping behind her, it was a short walk today, too many other dogs, my dog attacks anything smaller, she thinks she is cat and does the whole bum wiggling thing kittens do, easier to keep her on her lead.
