This is another example of radical acceptance that is silly (which sometimes makes it easier) and it's something I'm still working on understanding so if I'm wrong, please correct me.

You're with someone you're trying to impress and they give you a cup of herbal tea but it's disgusting, you don't want to say anything about it, but you don't want to drink it either.

Fighting your reality is being annoyed that this happened. Radical acceptance is accepting that the tea is disgusting and you can't change that, and you have to choose between the two bad options (drink it or say something). Maybe you accept you will drink it and smile politely, you don't have to like the tea but accept you're going to drink it and you acknowledge that the tea will end.

Radical acceptance is a bit tricky, everyone ends up with their own understanding of it.

The way...
I understand now. I have realized that accepting what happened to me is difficult because I cannot believe how anyone can justify treating someone so horribly. There is no excuse for my abusers behavior. I knew it was wrong at 4 years old. I could feel it wasn't supposed to be this way. Why didn't my abusers see that it was wrong? I guess I am still trying to accept where I am right now.
