She was strangling me and I strangled her back so she could see how it felt but not to kill her. I pushed her off of standing on my feet and she burnt her hand on the wood stove. I felt bad for a second then I've felt good about it since haha. It was too dangerous; thought I might snap and lose the mother boundary. I ran away- the best decision cuz one of us was going to die very soon!

Yes. There was a time I watched my mother sleeping. I think I was about eight, she was fast asleep and didn't hear me standing by the side of the bed. If I could have just smothered her with the pillow next to her.. Yes. I wish I had.

@void @Abstract , it's not illegal, technically. As a minor in my state, everything she's doing is legal. I don't see a therapist. It's not nearly as bad as when I was younger. It's tolerable, even normal you could say in my very old-school neighborhood.

As a young mother with a daughter who had been molested by my father before she was three years old, with the help of The Ombudsman group, we were able to shut down his unliscenced day care and he got scared and moved out of the state to Oregon and I never spoke to him again. Mom had been dead for a years earlier so problems solved.

There is no way, in Hell, that it is legal for her to assault you.

Beatings are not tolerable and they are NEVER normal.

Your thinking has been distorted by her and the local culture in which you live.

It is a form of denial, which makes it easier to survive...ie. believing that it is legal/normal.

This thinking is NOT your fault....my mind also has been distorted and confused by the abuse I endured.

.....and remember that all beatings leave emotional scars.....it is NEVER just physical.

A child parent dynamic is very powerful and when you have been abused then it is a force that can control us to an enormous extent. What she is doing is very wrong and I'm sure is costing you terribly. How long till you can leave home?
