i heard a pretty good (but brief!) piece this morning on NPR about traditional election day cake (originally known as muster cake). so my inner baker ad historian are in full research and recipe finding mode; i predict several versions to be produced...just the distraction i needed. :D

I totally thought I was okay and didn't need a plan besides life as usual, but I'm totally so anxious watching the results that I feel like I might throw up. I'm going to look up that cake. And try not to lose my stomach.

I'm not doing so well. I was managing to avoid everything but then I was talking to my best friends on the phone about a trip out to see them and she started freaking out about the current election results. ugh
