My sleep is seriously wrecked because of nightmares. It used to be horrible nightmares that I could remember. Now, due to medication, I am not remembering most nightmares (if I do, it is only a little part), but I know I am having them because I wake up screaming in the middle of the night and I feel like I got no sleep every morning.
I have taken sleep hygiene classes, made the recommended changes, tried different meds, etc. Nothing seems to help. It is very frustrating.
Some nights I am terrified to go to sleep because of the nightmares. This week I have been having anxiety attacks every night before bed. Poor sleep, nightmares, and increased anxiety all lead to suicidal ideations, so it is a very bad combination for me.
