Things That Make You Feel At Home?

Maybe. I enjoy my animals. Other than that...nothing. I dread being at home even when alone.
@Zoogal Oh how I love your honesty. I too feel not so comfortable in my own home - even though it is filled with so many of my favorite things. My home feels like a cage, and I want out and when I am out - I so want back in (my home) again. Not comfortable anywhere. Not at peace anywhere. The only place I am at peace, is when I am sleeping (without nightmares). Again, @Zoogal, I so love your candor. (hugs and more hugs @Zoogal. JadesJewel

This may sound strange to some, but I feel most at home when I am in church. Church is my "safe"...
YES! My church is home. I go to a few churches for various events (bible study, women's groups, etc) but I have a home church - I love that it's called that. And my church sisters are literally my family and I've often said I would be dead without them.

In my own home I have books I love - mostly Christian, including whichever devotional I'm reading.

I actually feel more at home when I travel around the world - and there I always keep my diary with me and whatever cool jewelry I've picked up, or if I'm traveling with an essential oil. That's comforting to me :)

Lights have to always be on. That is a biggy for me. I hate darkness.

I have a sweetpea candle too, which I like to burn now and then. I love the gentle aroma that it creates.

Yes, when I have something in the crock pot and the home has its aroma all around, what a treat, even before I eat. Especially if it is an old family recipe.

Herbs for infusions, clean water, homegrown fruits and veggies, wild nutrition to forage, comfortable skirt, jeans, socks, tank top, and sweater, favorite straw hat, good books, good music, fuzzy blanket, lots of pillows, a bath tub, epsom salts, hula hoops, mini-trampoline, spritzer bottle with water and peppermint essential oil (portable a/c...lol), surrounded by lots of greenage, tall trees, running water, and my zero gravity lawn chair. Wherever I roam, much of all of the above goes with me.
