OK, this thing has "gotten" me twice. Once when I was a kid, and again now. I am wondering if anyone else has had one and was benefited by it somehow? Or maybe it drove you crazy? Anyway, tell me about your experiences with the Rubik's Cube. I will tell you about mine later! (Give me a few days, I just bought this second one now).

As a kid I'd change the stickers on them and do whatever worked. However, my nephew loves them. He buys all sorts of different kinds and shapes and solves them. Not sure why lol. He's got the brain for it though!

It drove me crazy as a kid. I was good at taking it apart and putting it back together again, though. And I was a Rubik's cube for Halloween one year. Made the costume myself. That was way easier!

It was! I made it with a big box, cut holes for my head and arms, then used poster board and hand painted all the different squares. I have a picture of myself and my bff from that year. She was Peter Criss from Kiss.

OK, I got mine all mixed up now. I flipped it around countless times, mixing up all the colors as best as I could. Now I have to see if I can solve it without going to the official website to see the videos about how to solve it. Sure, that is the easy way. Doing it on one's own, that (I think) would be a lot harder. I did browse the website a bit. So I do know there are videos on how to solve it. That would take the fun out of it though, I think!

Dang! I had one side of it red (minus one square) and one blue, the same. Then I tried to move the other red and blue squares into place and messed the whole thing up again. I can kind of think with it, but not completely. It takes a lot of mental effort.

I must have been really bored when I was a kid! LOL. Either that or I had infinite patience. I cannot imagine how I figured this thing out back then. I was in the fourth grade (1964), if I recall, and I think I remember figuring out other kids' cubes for them too, once I had mastered it.

I am not giving up, however. I am not going to the website and looking at any videos just yet. This is a puzzle and I still want to figure it out all over again.
