So a Q, how do I make a call?
I'm reading this as a phone call, correct?
My how to's for the difficult ones:
1. Write bullet points // full script of what I want to say. Knowing my brain will be Not There, as soon as I've dialled the number.
2. With putting the number in, you have to do the thing where you let your guard down a moment and just go for it. Putting in the number is the biggest hurdle (for me). Once that's in it's like phew I made it this far, may as well just continue now.
2.b) If you can't go through with staying on the line once the number is in, you know you've made it to that already and nothing fundamentally Bad happened so you can do it again.
3. Once you're on with them, use the script. Which, can be tailored to have a short intro by you immediately then putting the ball in their court.
Alternative to 3. Call at a time that isn't obviously I'm Calling When You're Unavailable, but means that you can leave a message and again put that ball into their court. Sometimes answering a call can be easier than making one.
4. Because it's a call (presumably telephone) they can't see you. So you can put yourself in whatever environment: comforts, dress, lights, dark, position in space, that will work in your favour with out any risen eyebrows.
Apologies if I'm way off the mark on understanding your post; am a wee bit sleep dep'ed.
Most off: whatever it is, you got this.
