Actually yes
Since they began, the socialised (synonymous with monopolised, bureaucratised and divorced from customer needs) health quangos have been like any other monopoly
Over priced, dysfunctional and way, way under performing.
Crisis, is punished in the private sector, it is rewarded in the state sector
What is the VA, the British NHS, the various nordic systems, constantly in?
Yeah, you guessed right - equilibrium and bliss, funded to the hilt and no problems at all, the books all add up and everything can be accounted for. No one dying on trollies in corridors, no ambulances driving around for hours before arriving so that people can be seen within 40 minutes of arrival. No nurses or doctors retiring early on a Friday and being recruited on Monday on pension plus salary so that recruitment targets can be fudged, no stfu or you'll never work again for nurses who get raped at work
Its a monopoly
There's no other show in those states
Customers even get their pensions raided (and none of the proceeds can be accounted for) to fund those boondongles
Please separate your hopeful dreams from the Soviet level dysfunction that is the reality that, strangely enough, you'll get each and every time you try it.
