I wish my words meant something but soy el fantasma

Your words *do* mean something and the same visible and tangible as the rest of people... do you know what parts of your problems you need most help?

Like some times docs hear better if you come with a concrete request, like instead of "I can't sleep", "I need something to sleep 6 hours min, every night", instead of "not be depressed", "I need to be alert upon waking and it last at least to afternoon so I can finish my shift" - things like that: concrete. For your daily needs.

Im very specific told them over and over how many times wake up, average sleep is 4 hours, what i do before bed etc etc. Dr even like well seems like your doing everything im supposed to. Why keep fighting if what one does doesnt make difference? I need help with getting to place where can function regularly rather than be at deaths door yet each day im closer to door..i think about hospital but such bad experiences

That needs finding someone who will hear you clearer... not give up on the spot for all who don't.

I gather you're Hispanic, are there any your ethnicity / nationality doctors in case that might help listen to your needs more?

Do you know anyone in your community with SH issues that gets treatment / who do they go to?

Eventually, anyone you trust that could go with you? Some times it turns the "we can't help" quite fast.

If it is dreams waking you up get them to give you prazosin which is a blood pressure medication. The side effect is not remembering the dream so you can get back to sleep. I take low dose 15mg remeron/mirtazipine for sleep. Anything higher than 15mg with that medication will have the opposite effect and is not good for sleep.

It’s all about finding the right combo for you. Every one of us are different. There is one other here that’s on nearly the same as me think it’s bellbird but don’t remember100%. It took me a 4 med combo to get close to normal. It is a daily struggle and we all understand and have been there. PTSD is a beast and very very difficult to get a handle on. I won’t say it can be beat but you can get back to somewhat functional.

Also even though you do not want to do it all the time, being active helps. Even just going for a walk and getting out the house. I have to force myself some days but always feel better after doing something. It also tires you out so will help with sleep.

@AJ45 - I'm really sorry to read that you're in so much pain. I recognize that feeling you're talking about, of not knowing what to do anymore when it looks like everything has failed and there aren't options.

Can you remind me - what's the trauma that led to your PTSD?

And how is your physical health, generally - like, in addition to the PTSD, are there other health things you're having to manage?
