Hi Martin -- I'm a vet but not combat, but you will find people around here who are. And ya - the whole ptsd thing sucks. Luckily we all get it- which is the best thing about htis place....everyone here understands what you are going thru.

Welcome!

Hi Martin welcome to the site. What's your support network like? Family/friends/ therapist? It must be very hard to adapt to normal life after serving. What kinds of things do you struggle with?

I've a family and some friends. The past 5 months or so I've just been on meds and a waiting list.

hello martin. another vet here, but i carried my ptsd into the army with me. well. . . combat ptsd was being called shell shock back then and the civilian ptsd was being called more mean, stigmatic names than i have the heart or energy to type. did i just give away my age?

yea, it sucks, but there are ways around the suckage. healing happens. gentle support while you find your own ways. welcome aboard.
