anyone else on med withdrawal right now?

I can say I just did some light exercise (cleaning up the yard) and I do feel calmer. I know we know it but right before I went outside I relived my trauma for 5 mins, and was hyperventilating. Thankfully I was able to help myself and my husband helped. I credit my therapist and all the work we've done together.

I forced myself to go outside and Im really glad I did

Can't tell if a huge trigger sent me spiraling or if med withdrawal made me more susceptible. But I can tell you the combination has now landed me highly skeptical borderline paranoid. Getting through though. Seeing Dr on Wednesday and should get some relief from the new things we are trying. Reminder to never give up

checking in with you two- I can offer support but I already told you my best relief was found in the warm waters of a hot tub. Don't go buy one, mine has been a maintenance hassle for 24 years and it would have cost me a fortune to even pay someone minimum wage for all of the motors and controllers I have replaced.
I say- take a friend or SO on a weekend getaway that involves a hotel room with a pool and a hot tub available or even in the freakin room- thats living right there. Be strong, it's doable

Can't say thanks enough

I can run a pretty hot bath too lol

hot bath with empsom salts!I
I'm doing a bit better today - pain is tolerable but had a run of suicidal thoughts. No actions because I knew it was the meds but still. 😤

Oh man Freida that sucks I'm sorry to hear that. I'm glad you're so strong though!! Today everything looks different. I'm guessing hormones adjusting? I'm in pain. Physically. Fibro. What about you?

Yep....rain starts/pain starts sigh
The OJ/airborne thing seems to really be helping with the withdrawls (might be a placebo effect but I'll take it! )
Todays special includes hand tremors and chills. Where's my bang head emoji!

I was poking around the gabapentin and lyrica sites, seems they aren't much better at stopping the pain and the withdrawl process is way worse.
Back to the drawing board.....

aaand as soon as I say I am getting through withdrawals because I have the slippery slope of Klonopin to get me past, I run out of Klonopin. Other benzo's in the house, but thats another slope, doesn't lead to a day of smoothly passing through anything, just sleeping through it all.
Like drinking beer to ward off a withdrawal jag, and finding out all you have left is white lightning.
This pain thing around the ears and eyes is too familiar, the feeling like there are ice cubes in your big joints, shoulders and knees mostly. Hot tub.

Hey @enough I'm so sorry to hear this. Thank God for hot tubs/ hot bath soaks.

I drink an herbal tea blend that is my "ptsd symptom go to" if you're interested.

i can't experiment with gut tolerances- living on the edge here 24-7 due to injuries (and stress) it might be wonderful and I am missing out but I try not to take chances with concoctions that might set off this sensitive beast living between my ribs and my belt. that said, i have some comfort foods and drinks and they are a great thing for the tool box, my go to's. thanks
