I adore olive oil for things I want to smoke, as it has such a low burn point… ever tried sunflower oil for things you don’t want smokey? Or corn oil for baking? (So soooo sweet!).

Word to the wise… grapeseed oil has a high smoke point, but becomes carcinogenic at high temps. Amaaaazing for salad dressing, but toxic for high heat cooking. Similarly? In the US mustard seed oil is illegal/ sold only as beauty product, but for curries/etc. that require the mustard kick? Add a squirt of French’s (or similar) to your curries to mimic the effect.
