One Page a Day Helped Me More Than I Expected

I used to feel stuck in a cycle of constant anxiety and overthinking.
Nothing major happened in my life, but I just couldn’t relax — it felt like I was running on stress.

A few months ago, I started doing something super simple: writing just *one honest page a day*. No pressure, no structure, just letting everything out.

It didn’t solve all my problems, but somehow it helped me slow down and feel safer in my own mind.

Eventually, I created a simple 60-day version for myself to follow consistently.
Surprisingly, I’ve actually been able to stick to it — and I sleep better, think clearer.

Just curious…
Has anyone else tried something similar like one-page journaling?
Would love to hear if it helped you too.

it nevehr occurred to me to limit myself to one page, but journaling just might be the most important tool in my psychotherapy toolbox. like you, it didn't solve many problems, but it helped me find the stable clarity to find more sustainable solutions.
Eventually, I created a simple 60-day version for myself to follow consistently.
daily meditation readers are another great tool. those i do limit to one page. taking in too much food for thought leads to intellectual obesity. information overlad turns me into a raving maniac.

“Just One Thing” is how I change my life/lifestyle.

Each, and every day, do JUST one (other/more/unusual/new/different) thing.

Even when people think they don’t do anything? There’s stuff they discount. (Or they’re starving to death in a pool of shit & piss they don’t move from. BUT??? Starving to death in a pool of shit and piss is NOT most people’s “I can’t do anything”. Instead? They’re getting up to use the bathroom AND wiping AND eating/drinking AND sleeping AND AND AND AND). So? Take whatever your “that doesn’t count” baseline and… add “just one thing”. Until? That’s counted in your “doesn’t count” baseline. And then another. And another. And another. Until what was impossible to even contemplate, happens in 2 minutes, without even thinking about it / whilst thinking about something else entirely. As it’s maybe o.ooo2% of what I’ll do today. From climbing Everest, to utterly discounted. One thing at a time.

So when I’m doing badly? That might be brushing my teeth. Until? Brushing my teeth is normal, I do it every day. So that’s no longer my one thing, something else becomes my one thing. And then another. And another. And another. Until???

When I’m doing exceptionally well? Working, playing, socializing, loving an absolutely badass, and very full life, I love and adore? What ELSE can I add? Lots of things! <grin> Something new to learn, something kind to act on, something organizing, something streamlining, something/someone/somewhere, just one thing… that takes good/great/amazing… and makes it even better.
