Sandalwood is my favourite incense. I burn it every night before bedtime. I find it relaxing. Something about it.... as soon as I smell it I am out like a light!

OOO Sandalwood is one of my favorites too.

After a few bad nights sleep with Hubby, out it comes. 2 drops on my night shirt, and that's me away with the fairies.

I'll try sandlewood next. My favourite daytime pick me up is lemon. It always brings me back and keeps me grounded. At my leaving lunch on Friday, my beloved friends made sure I had drops on my scarf, it helped me through the speeches.

If the scent of lemons helps you, you may want to try this. Next time you use lemons, save the peels. Drop them in the garbage disposal and turn it on. The scent of lemon will linger in your kitchen, how long depends on how many peels you have. I used to do this at my old house, but we have no garbage disposal here.

My only complaint with the incense is that you don't know what is in it.

Gamereign, you can find all natural incense online if you can't find it where you live.

I'm not sure whether I'm allowed to name websites or not so I won't.

Seedling... I love frankincense, it's really expensive. Someone gave my mother some from Europe... she didn't like it and gave it to me... I find it really soothing.... but only get it once a year. My mimosa is in full bloom... the winds have died down and I'm able to get a good aroma when I sit on my front stoop with a cup of tea... I wish they bloomed all year long... I love that scent.

Oh cleaning tip..... when I run out of floor cleaning product I put a few drops of fennel oil into hot water and wash the floors. Smells really fresh.

Had a tough few days because of work but I am keen to maintain my decrease in medication so I have been having daily bergamot baths. It has definitely helped my mood. Maybe it is my improved coping skills, maybe it is the PRN doses of effexor, maybe it is the oil but I am a lot more bubbly and sociable in a quicker time frame than normal.

"Aromatherapists and massage therapists frequently use frankincense and myrrh as complementary treatments for people suffering from depression, anxiety and other mood disturbances. This combination of fragrances can help to facilitate clear thinking and reduce stress levels."

My sister bought me a bottle of frank and myrrh anointing oil from Israel, it smells really nice and tends to make me feel more relaxed. :)

If I could get over my body hang ups I'd love to try either. I use oils at home but have never seen a professional.

This isn't an essential oil, but I discovered by accident that while dehydrating chamomile for later tea use my home fills with the scent; it's not like a sedative, but is soothing and calming - helps you to relax so you can sleep. Even my wild child canine is settled down !! The dehydrating does double duty - aromatherapy and stocking up on tea for the cold months when fresh isn't available. I should think that if I froze some fresh I could dehydrate it in the winter for the same effect.
