How Much Water Do You Drink?

I have a Brita full of water on the counter, ready for my organic green tea.

I also have 2 pitchers of cold water in the refrigerator, so thus, I will never run out.

I even have 2 coasters on the table, one for my glass of cold water and the other one for my cup of hot tea, so I'm constantly drinking one or the other!

So, I just found out from my nutritionist that with every glass of wine I have I should have two glasses of water. She says this helps re-hydrate you. I found this interesting since I always tend to have water while drinking, be it a mixed drink or wine.

I gave her a little tidbit of information too. I told her, since she thinks peanut butter is a great protein, that having peanut butter and a sip of wine tastes like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. :hilarious: She didn't know that, but she wasn't sure she should share it with her other clients. And, yes, she did laugh!

We've tried very hard to live by example.

Hi Britt

I think that is all a mother can do. It is not about control but encouragement and guidance, support and protection. Things that some of us did not get from our own mothers. I was determined to take another approach no matter how hard and confusing it was for me.

I made mistakes, no one is perfect, but my kids respected the fact that at least I admitted them and owned them and tried my best.

You sound like you are doing a wonderful job with your boys. I have a girl and a boy, Have to say the girl was far more hard work ;) But bringing them both up on my own with no support I had to be both mother and father, if that makes sense. If they made mistakes then I was there for them and guided them back to the right path without judgement. They know what every they do I will always be here for them no matter what. As I am sure you are for your boys :)

Yes it makes me sad too to see kids slip through. Ironically their parents had no mental health problems ;)

Going back to the fluid of life I am off for a pint of water :) Hope you are well today. :)

best wishes

Saffy

Thank you Saffy and keep drinking! (water that is ;))

Abstract, it is so hard to drink coffee and water. I know it is dehydrating. Try to limit my cups of coffee. Told the nutritionist this yesterday, that it is harder in the winter time. She said she drinks hot water with lemon. Might have to try that.

CraftyCath, I have one of those fridges. I love the ice maker, especially when I used to chew ice by the bucket loads(I know bad for the teeth). However, I rarely use the water feature because it is soo slow. I would prefer to, since it is filtered, but I don't have the patience. That's what I get for living in an older house!
