Well today I had my 1st appointment with my new therapist. She is super nice and easy to talk to. I am staying positive that she will be able to help me. Everyone there is very supportive. So im hoping for the best!
My psych added lamictal to my meds to stabilize my moods. I haven't heard of this med. But hopefully it will help! I researched it and read great reviews on it. Taking new meds just makes me anxious! But I will give it a try!

Glad you are hopeful about your new therapist and the new med. I take that med and it was prescribed with several others, so I would not be able to single it out for a review. However, I do know that the combination of meds that I was put on have been very helpful to me. I feel so much better and my life is going better too!

hi
I am going to have to have anxiety meds, as sertraline is not working too well. Apparently there are lots of them and I am going to talk to a doc about this. Let me know how you get on with lamictal. I get anxious about any thing to do with doctors so will need to summon some courage to even make an appointment. What anxiety meds have any of you guys tried and which work for you ?

I take Hydroxyzine HCL as prescribed by my psych. It is helpful to an extent, but there is another med I used to take called Clonazepam, which I would not recommend. It becomes less effective as time goes on, and eventually becomes useless. It is also a controlled substance in some states, which means that it has to be prescribed face to face once a month, which makes the doctor's bills beyond my means! @Oasis

I'm the same way! I get so nervous about meds. Usually because I read the possible side effects. Which I'm trying not to do. Dont be scared about going to the dr. There are good ones out there that will help you! I was on celexa for 7 years. I loved it. But it stopped working. I've also had good results on cymbalta. But ive heard coming off of it is a nightmare. There are so many meds out there. And a dr will know exactly where to start you.

@MrsBeasley86 I have just started on Cymbalta 600mg and stopped the sertraline so hopefully this will start making me feel better. I plucked up enough courage to visit the doc. v hard for me. What have you heard about coming off it?
