i keep getting put back in the chat. I can't figure out how to leave.

The number at the top / name listing just shows who can actually see the chat box, who also has "show if I'm online" ticked in their profile. That means anyone who is looking at the forum list shows up in the "who's here" list. It doesn't mean that you're actually chatting, or even reading. It just means you're on the forum page.

I'm 52 and I have lived this way all my life too. My first "demon" was when I was very, very young. Then they just started adding up as I grew older. So, I can certainly understand it when you say that you have lived this way for a long time.

@Knak, absolutely I was triggered.... and do I ever get being 'invisible' and 'not heard...

My "yelling" is just talking extremely loud, not angry. Should have clarified that but glad you saw the trigger applied

Awesome for you @Knak, that you don't let the anger be heard... unfortunately, I haven't conquered that one yet..... I think because I try to do what you do, and then it all comes bubbling the surface...... I always make amends for the anger, but not always the words said...

@ladee I will miss your presence in chat. I know that sometimes I'm incapable of focus my name may appear in chat but I'm all over, reading or on another site. Lately, I don't have the ability to chat long due to focus and reading threads. That is pretty common here but it sometimes appears that a million people are in chat but no one talks. It's almost never a case of anyone ignoring. In my time here..a little over 2 years.. I've seen that countless times. I do hope you reconsider and decide to come back, if not, I understand.
