A company called Sodahead has accepted to run some trials here of their ad and poll platform. I applied to them, discussed past and present issues, and they've accepted to do some trial testing here to see if things fit their advertisers, and thus fix MyPTSD revenue concerns.
This system is unlike any I've seen or used. It incorporates quirky, interactive, interesting poll questions with advertisements. There are different methods of implementation which require trialling to find what the best solution is for this site and its users.
Right now, we're earning pretty much nothing... so handing this off to experts with the software and inventory to automatically manage our advertising, win win.
The idea is to lower the donation requirement, or when a server upgrade is required, atleast be able to cover any difference. Wait and see, time will tell once implemented and having time to run here. If it makes enough to cover all costs, then we can expand at considerable capacity.
You can see what I'm referring to here: Link Removed which contains examples that will get trialled.
Premium members obviously won't be affected. Me, I love the concept of this system, integrating polls with ads, making for quite an interactive and enjoying experience. I've been playing with them extensively on Sodahead's site.
