I have been disabled getting checks from SSD for a little over a year now. I did the process alone, and did not get rejected. I was 18 when I was deemed disabled by Social Security, I worked 6 jobs from 15-18, they all lasted between 2 weeks, and 2 months. I could not keep a job due to my PTSD. When Social Security sent me to one of their doctor, the doctor told me "if they deny you, if I were you I would appeal" this doctor, she gave me hope that I was not lying, this was not fake, my family was wrong for saying "that I am faking it"
Granted I want to work, but I am learning my limits, and I will start working again when I am ready. It is very annoying being so young, and unable to work. My friends don't understand, and they never will, but for everyone trying to get SSD for PTSD. SSD does cover it, it doesn't really have a set long list of what they cover in regards to mental disorders, but if it harms your daily life largely and bluntly. You will be approved, I say appeal, appeal, appeal, the right judgement will be made eventually.
