I need your advice as I'm not sure whats best to do here.
Yesterday I had my biannual sight test. I'll give you as much background as I can but its still churning in my brain.
It was the first time I had seen this optician, but have used the practice before. For context I have ptsd and mobility issues.
He was running late which was OK, and friendly enough, but the first thing he did in the consultation room and I was sitting down was take my crutch away from me (I can't walk without it) and put it by the exit which was as far away from me as possible. He then took my handbag and put it next to my crutch. He effectively trapped me in the chair. I don't think he meant to, and I don't think he knew how badly it was affecting me. I was in survival mode by that point and didn't want to let him know how vulnerable I felt as I was effectively in a sometimes dark room with a stranger and I couldn't walk out.
I pointed out that I felt I was being mugged and he just said 'yeah, I'm taking everything away from you.' It is on my medical history that I have ptsd.
During the exam, I couldn't concentrate on anything he asked, couldn't process the tests he put in front of me and I think it skewed the test as I just said anything so the exam would be over and I could have my crutch back and get out of that room!
My question is, do I say something to the practice manager, or do I just leave a bad review or do I do nothing. Sorry that's probably three questions.
I have already booked second opinion test with another optician.
