Dear Dr. Handy,

I cannot thank you enough for writing that book.

I am rendered inarticulate by the pleasant and unexpected surprise of your finding my post and responding to it.

There have been many times when I have put your book under my pillow at night as a comfort measure because - even though we do not know each other personally - I could hold onto that book and tell myself, "Marla understands. She knows."

You have my unlimited gratitude for the solace your book has provided me and for what comfort it gives me even as I live in the "No Comfort Zone."

With the utmost sincerity, I wish you the best in all your endeavors.

Update:
Early last September I summarily dumped the jerk. Looking back and reading what I wrote is astonishing to me. Sad that I felt so insecure at that time in my life. Much better now.
